2nd:My (sorta) friend asked me to make a koala for her (and 5 others, whose pictures I will post later, perhaps with pattern if I can’t find one that already exists). Here he is! I think he’s ultra cute. As soon as he was finished, he was dubbed “Frederic” by my little sister, and so “Frederic the Koala” he is. I had a lot of trouble finding a pattern for this little guy, so eventually I made my own. If you want your own little Frederic, make the pattern I’ll post here!

Putting it all together:

Sew arms to the sides, and feet to the front-side, using picture as reference if needed. Sew on the ears:spread the inside edge of the ear, run along inside once fastening in all extraneous yarn from yarn changes and starting. Pin in place (bobby pins are my favorite for this), and sew in place. Use white (to tie in the ears to the rest of the koala), dark brown, and optionally black for the face. Have fun with this part! Weave in all ends and you have your very own koala!

That penguin on the right, is my first design. He’s a bit too long in the head, but for the rest he’s cool.

Everything is worked in steady increases, and in the round, and in single stitch. so I’ll just put the stitch count here. the number before the colon is the round, the one after is the stitch count, so it would be read 8:36 round 8: 4 sc, inc. sts:36 Please be creative with his pattern! I don’t remember exactly how i did the pattern, so have fun with it!

Head: mc. round 1:6 2:12 3:18 4:24 5:30 6:30 7:36 8:36 9:42 10:42 11:36 12:30 13:24 if using plastic eyes, put in now. stuff, do not bind off. continue with body. 14-18:24 19-23:30 24-27:36 28:30 29:24 30:18 stuff body. 31:12 32:6 bind off. sew hole closed. work in thread.

wings: mc. round 1:6 2:12 3:18 4-10:24 11-12:21 13-14:18 do not stuff. bind off. repear for the second wing.

feet: mc. round 1:6 2:13 3:18 4:12 stuff LIGHTLY. 5:6. sew hole closed. repeat for second foot.

beak: 1:6 2:9 3:12 4:15 5:18 stuff and flatten lightly when sewing on to make it look beak-like.

I just spent the last DAY cleaning my little sister’s room. It was a MESS. I wish I took before and after pictures. Or just a video to show the process and I could fast forward it and post it here to show just how amazingly messy it was~.

And now it’s clean. pretty nice, actually. And the charity people are coming by tuesday. So that means we actually have something to give this time! We moved a new desk into her room, so the old one is getting donated, and a whole bunch of clothes that are too small or too ugly for her are too. I wonder if anyone ever donates anything really pretty to them…?

She needs a new bed. She’s the only one that hasn’t gotten a new bed since we’ve moved to the states. it’s still fromEurope and quite creeky. I got a new bed about two years ago. And my older sister has gotten like, three. Or two. Can’t remember. My mom got one after my older sister and I forced her to. Her bed was about 15 years old and falling apart. Even the guest room got a new bed. But that bed was because we didn’t have a bed for guests to sleep in and one very empty room downstairs. So I guess now it’s little sis’s turn.

The internet is such a nice place to vent. and then ramble. anywayz ciao internet~!

I just love Hot Gimmick! I had to write a blog post about it! I’ve been re-reading it today and yesterday (I got to about 20 or so last year, and I decided to start from the beginning again because I liked the series last, and I was bored). My favorite chapter of all is 37! Subaru and Akane are SUCH A CUTE COUPLE! *squeal*

I was busy with stuff…. and doing stuff….. okay I have no excuse! I admit it I was lazy!

Anywayzzzz….

I’ve been doing lots of amigurumi stuff lately. They are super fun and cute! also easy to make! I’ve been busy making them for friends for christmas (now more like new-year’s) presents. I was looking on sites and was running out of patterns fast, so… I used my very poor japanese skillz to search up some patterns from japan. My reasoning was “well that’s where amigurumi comes from so why not?” My results: It’s really hard to sort through google search results when everything’s in kanji, and lots of the sites only have pictures, and at some point along the line, it’s a good idea to give in and use the translate button even if you don’t want to admit you don’t have that fabulous of japanese skillz.

But! Before I gave into the oh-so-snobby-looking translate bar that kept popping up at the top of the screen, I did find Tar-chan’s cute cockatiels. Cross cute. They’re adorable!

Weird, huh? No one I’ve heard of really follows Korean fashions at all, and even China is more looked at for their fashion advice (as far as I know), but I’ve been listening to a k-pop band, 2ne1, for a while, and I noticed that their clothes in the music videos are absolutely amazing. So I investigated Korean fashion a bit more, and my discovery; they have the awesomest clothes! Here, look:

Also, if you’re any kind of dutch, you should know about Boer Zoekt Vrouw.  The amazing part is, there’s nothing interesting about it. Yet for some reason, everyone’s hooked. Odd, huh?

I have known about this guy for a while, but I was watching his videos on Youtube today, so I just thought I’d mention him. My sister is actually the one who discovered him, but  I’ve been watching his vids recently, because, well, okay, I’ll own up to it: I’ve been in a bit of a drawing rut. My drawings SUCK. I used to be pretty amazing (well, in my opinion), but recently, I just can’t seem to get that right look I’m going for. But, without any further adeu (I’m not quite sure how exactly to spell that word), his name is… Mark Crilley. So shout out to Mark! He’s a bit of an inspiration right now. One of my favorite videos is the realistic face one: It just has a cool picture, and I think I’m going to try drawing something based off of this video.

Also, I think my sister’s boyfriend can be a bit of a creep sometimes. Just saying.
